I have encountered this problem just once, when (just as you suggest) another staff member was trying to set up her listserv password a couple of weeks ago and kept getting the "no confirmation code ..." message. We finally just closed and re-opened her browser and started all over again, and this time we were very careful to click *only* once on the "confirmation URL" in the email message -- and this second time everything went fine. The staff member, Nan Fern, was using the Packman-distributed version of Netscape 4. Liz
