I suspect if the server would see this mail it would be able to deal with it. I get hundreds of these for various addresses. I guess the design was to have the system honor the > Return-Path: <owner-PNS-L*b1764a**HOTMAIL*[log in to unmask]> > header. You need a Sendmail patch for this. U've attached the 8.9.3 version, and I feed the LSoft guys updated versions when new Sendmail releases come out (usually within 24 hours - I can't cut the final patch until I get the actual release code from sendmail.org to double-check that line numbers etc didn't change from the alpha/beta versions). The 8.10.1 version available at ftp://ftp.lsoft.com/listserv/unix/contrib should apply cleanly for 8.10.2 - the .2 changes were restricted to other parts of the code. I have to admit that I didn't check, as I was already running an 8.11 beta when 8.10.2 was emergency-shipped to deal with the Linux 2.2.14 kernel capabilities bug. -- Valdis Kletnieks Operating Systems Analyst Virginia Tech
