Just to be clear here, you mean using Pegasus's "forward without change" (I forget exactly what it's called in Pegasus, but it does the same thing as a "bounce"), and not Pegasus's normal forwarding function, which allows you to edit the forwarded message but also includes it in your own mail envelope. >Edit the /var/spool/mail/moderator-userid file (assuming a un*x >system) being careful to edit the text and not mung-up the headers. I personally would use Pegasus to save the messages into another IMAP folder, and then go in with shell access and edit *it* directly as a file (though of course you'll have to know which UNIX directory IMAP is using for the folder), rather than editing my "inbox" directly. That way, if I inadvertantly screw up the folder with my editing, I've screwed up my folder containing only those messages, and not my entire inbox, which I might or might not be able to straighten out without having to nuke it and start over. 'Course your sense of adventurousness may vary... :) Dennis >Geez, I really wish a Pop3/Imap client would allow a Resend/Bounce *and* >allow the text to be edited first.... > > >+ + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + >Chris Barnes AOL IM: cnbarnes >[log in to unmask] ICQ: 3581645 >
