I have a subscriber who's receiving the standard error message saying she's not subscribed and so can't post, but the address which is being refused is, as far as I can see, exactly the same as the one under which she's subscribed. I just tried to update her account by pasting her return address into the new address slot (I'm using the Web interface), and was told she's already subscribed and so the address can't be updated. Here's the relevant part of the error message: =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Date: Thu, 21 Dec 2000 17:50:03 -0400 From: "L-Soft list server at LISTSERV.UNB.CA (1.8d)" <[log in to unmask]> Subject: Rejected posting to [log in to unmask] To: Barbara Schneider <[log in to unmask]> You are not authorized to send mail to the STLHE-L list from your [log in to unmask] account. You might be authorized to send to the list from another of your accounts, or perhaps when using another mail program which generates slightly different addresses, but LISTSERV has no way to associate this other account or address with yours. If you need assistance or if you have any question regarding the policy of the STLHE-L list, please contact the list owners: [log in to unmask] =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Anybody have any experience with this, or any suggestions? On a hunch, I'm going to try unsubbing and resubbing her, but even if it works -- which I don't expect -- I'd sure like to be enlightened here. -- Russ __|~_ Russell A.
