This is an odd one.... A subscriber was bumped off a list by mistake. He tried to subscribe (twice) in the usual fashion but never received a reply from LISTSERV. When he contacted me I suggested he try Ben Parker's test of sending THANKS and INFO <LISTNAME> in the same email to test the response. He cc:'d the test to me so I would know when he tried it. The following is the header from that test (minus the nine hops it took to get to me): Message-Id: <[log in to unmask]> X-Mailer: Novell GroupWise 5.5.3 Date: Tue, 20 Mar 2001 14:38:45 +1100 From: "User Name" <[log in to unmask]> To: <[log in to unmask]> Cc: <[log in to unmask]> Subject: THANKS Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Content-Disposition: inline Notice the extra garbage some mail agent (server or client?) has inserted in the 'To:' field. Email that he sent to me directly didn't have the extra characters, it only seems to manifest itself when sending to LISTSERV. Has anyone else seen this behaviour before? Any suggestions I can give to the subscriber? Chazzozz!!
