If they don't meet our U Maine System guidelines, I usually send people to EASE (http://www.lsoft.com/products/default.asp?item=ease) and Yahoo Groups (http://groups.yahoo.com/). Most found Yahoo Groups much slicker (for their simple, beginner clients), but can't stand the ads (or don't trust Yahoo to keep their client addresses private). Most found the modest EASE costs too much, fwiw. I don't ever recall (in about 15 years) anyone ever actually wanting to run a mailing list site ... aside from those that did it with an e-mail program distribution list ... and wondered why it was so hard. ;-) cheers, wayne -- Wayne T.
