Our owners can bequeath their lists to Bozo the Clown if they want to, and we have essentially zero authority over them for various reasons (eg: their personal freedom, our evading liability by second guessing them). The vast majority will cooperate because they are nice people. Some are nice people who will do the exact opposite of what we want just on principle.
