My apologies if this is in the archive - I probably didn't figure out the right search terms if it is. I have some very aggravated list moderators right now, because they are getting hit hard by the sobig etc. worms that have been rampant lately. They have asked me again why it is that for an unmoderated list, only subscribers can post, but for their moderated list, they have to manually delete dozens of emails in order to process the ones from actual subscribers and approve or deny them. Why is it that the by-subscription-only, unmoderated (unedited, I suppose, by Listserv nomenclature) lists are able to simply filter out posts by non- subscribers, but that the edited list lets all those random posts through to the editor's inbox? Is there some parameter I have misconfigured, perhaps? TIA for any advice, Shannon :-) Moderated discussion of advanced .NET topics.
