I agree with Russ, Ingrid. Listserv uses the same IP addresses day in and day out, though there are different addresses for different functions like admin, etc. Remember the old adage: "If you can't impress them with your brilliance, then baffle them with bullshit!" Their filter needs to be set to let the Listserv IP addresses through, that's all. The admin team at ICORS posted this IP address content, below, when St.John's Maelstrom closed and ICORS took on their functions, and then some. Perhaps this will be helpful. Confirmation from someone at your server controls might be advisable. ICORS runs off L-Soft servers. We are all very grateful for that gift. Best, Rich (DISSOC listowner at ICORS) Our customers (and their subscribers) who find themselves being blocked from receiving list traffic and/or administrative email from our servers, should immediately contact their own Internet Service Provider (ISP) and/or mail provider, and request that the ISP and/or mail provider *whitelist* L-Soft's servers to ensure the delivery of wanted email. At a minimum, the following IP addresses should be whitelisted: 209.119.0.5 [gazelle.ease.lsoft.com] outbound list traffic 209.119.0.21 [wildebeest.ease.lsoft.com] outbound list traffic 209.119.0.43 [lime.ease.lsoft.com] outbound administrative traffic -------------------------- Richard A. If this is a school address, it's the network administrator's responsibility to maintain the staff's access to listservs. I recently had this problem with another spam filter at a university ISP, regarding a list for university teachers I administer, and the staff there was told something similar, until they raised hell about it. Go over the network administrator's head: she's not doing her job. -- Russ Russell Hunt Department of English St. Thomas University http://www.stu.ca/~hunt/
