There is no one way . . . but here are some things that would help. 1) convince every email software writer to code OOO generation in a standardized way 2) convince every email software user to update their system to the new standardized version of whatever it is they have ok, those aren't attainable . . . so here's something more within the realm of possibility: 1) instruct all subscribers to forward to you any OOO items they see in response to a list posting 2) un-subscribe the originator of the OOO items sent to you 2A) if the un-subscribed originator complains, educate them so they may avoid future problems- they might change email system software, or switch to another ISP perhaps, depending on circumstance, or just learn better techniques for configuring the OOO options available to them >>> [log in to unmask] 8/14/2006 9:42:14 AM >>> Nathan - That's exactly what we're talking about. The OOOs sent to the list are being filtered out. But when the poster posts to the list, they are hit with OOOs directly from other recipients. There must be a way to fix this...
