And, those that do, do not necessarily do it consistently.

If I mail my [log in to unmask], it forwards to a central POP/IMAP server that does OK.  If I mail
[log in to unmask], it may be rejected since their departmental mail server tries to deliver it to
a mailbox somebody+text which does not exist.
