I'm so glad to hear at least one other person speak negatively of GMail. Our lists are full of Gmail subscribers and I keep my opinions about it tomyself. I believe it's one of those phenomena that becomes a fad or "in"and, therefore, makes non-technical people feel technically astute. I haveaccounts just about everywhere and for almost 20 years have only onemail program I use for all of them and couldn't do my job efficiently withoutit. So I just let everyone do his thing and I do mine ... and that works for me!And don't even get me started on Yahoo. :-/MariThe Recovery Group-------Original Message-------I've been using a little known email called MyWay for many many years. It's never been hacked, and gets an extremely small amount of spam.Very happy with it.I just recently created a gMail account for a work project, and with alldue respectI think it is awful. Doesn't seem like something you would expect fromGoogle IMHO.PhilFrom: Pete Weiss <[log in to unmask]>To: [log in to unmask],Date: 02/20/2014 03:45 PMSubject: Re: Archives problem. And more about hackingSent by: LISTSERV list owners' forum <[log in to unmask]>On lists that I operate, I've seen more Yahoo mail user accountscompromised than any other.Frequently we set yahoo.com subscribers to REVIEW. Generally, we (myco-owners) suggest Gmail. I'veexperienced very few problems with that system (other than what has beendocumented on-list about"missing" messages sent by poster).I also recommend it to those folks who use ISP email addresses. They canmigrate to it[log in to unmask]" target="_blank">e.g.,[log in to unmask] while weaning themselves (others) of the old address.Or they can use bothaddresses with some services.[Why would I recommend that? Don't ask, just do and experience it. :-) ]Pete Weiss
