Not really, that's normal behavior.  I usually see 98-99% of deliveries happen
in under 3-5 seconds, if the destination MTA is up, reachable, and willing to
accept mail.  The other 0.5-1% end up queueing until the remote MTA either
comes up, becomes reachable, or stops tossing 4xx SMTP reply codes at us.

What's baffling is when you try to send to 3 recipients at the same
destination, and the *middle* one gets delayed. :)
