Argh,

I’m not having a good LISTSERV week. I’ve been struggling with this user’s problem for three days, now I can’t even get my own posts to include images or attachments. I’m ready for the weekend ;-}

The missing screenshot/attachment shows the View or Set Subscription Options in Subscriber Management for the user having trouble posting. It shows the following:

·         Subscription Type: Regular

·         Mail Header Style: LISTSERV-style, with list name in subject

·         Acknowledgements: Short message confirming receipt

·         Miscellaneous: all blank

I just had her subscribe to a new list, and post to that new list, and it went through. But, she can’t post to other lists she’s been subscribed to and is receiving emails from. We had her unsubscribe and re-subscribe and it didn’t work.

We’ll try the steps below and see what happens.

Thanx!

Reed

Subject: Re: User can't post to list

Reed,

Since we can't see your attachments, I'll chime in briefly ...

Let's break the problem down.

Does the Listserv log show the post arrival?  If not, it's probably (*) not a Listserv-based problem.

Does the log show actions on the post?

Does the post "From:" address match the subscription exactly?

How are posts on this list authorized?   "Send=" and subscriber attributes work together.

(*) "Filter=" at the list and server configurations may be discarding the post attempt.

Cheers, Wayne
