Don't be making fun of punch cards - we have some tucked away in the nation's attic. We had the "terminal room" downstairs, filled with the old punch card machines and the Old green terminals, which were used until about 1982. We'd take the cards Upstairs to the Honeywell and that's how we'd run the jobs. In '83, I got the first IBM PC In the Institution (with a 20Mb hard drive & DOS 1.1! LOL) and my office was the old terminal room. Now our cell phones are 1000 times smaller and have 1000 times more computing power and memory than the old mainframes had. Yeah, yeah.
