I did my first NETWIDE delete yesterday. I'm both the first postmaster for our LISTSERV and the NAD for Rice. Yet occasionally, in the list of responses, I get the following: ----------------------------Original message---------------------------- List RSCSMODS is not under automatic control. Your requests are being forwarded to the list owners. You must obtain a personal password in order to use the DELETE command. Please issue a "PW ADD desired-password" to [log in to unmask] List SCRIPT-L is not under automatic control. Your requests are being forwarded to the list owners. Global deletion process complete. -----------------------End of original message------------------------ 1. Which of the 2 lists (if either) did not actually get the deletions done, because of the lack of a personal password? 2. Does this mean I have to establish a personal password at every LISTSERV in the world to be able to do a NETWIDE delete? Why is it that only some response sets have this message, and only for some lists? Richard
