Again the lists business. There are several lists with identical names and listids but not making up a chain of peers - e.g. PROFS-L, REXXLIST. If you want to subscribe you're told that you have to select the appropriate server. This in effect disables the automatic SUBSCRIBE and SIGNOFF unless your LISTSERV (i.e. the LISTSERV you send the command to) hosts one of the peers for the list. If the (non-peer) lists are intended for local distribution then why making them global? If indeed they are different from the peered list and an identical name must(?) be chosen the why not select a different ListID? Christian
