Dayna, your filelist does not actually exist. By that I mean that you have created an entry in LISTSERV FILELIST for it, and you have taken steps to have postings archived, but you have not created a 'listname FILELIST' file. Because of this, the corresponding entry in LISTSERV FILELIST stays blank. However, it is generally not necessary to create or define a 'listname FILELIST' for list archives. If you just create a new list and enable archival of postings, LISTSERV will automatically generate a "virtual" filelist whenever someone does an 'INDEX listname' (or any similar command). This virtual filelist does not exist on the disk, because it contains zero information (since it is built from the output of a LISTFILE command and the value of a couple list keywords); keeping it on the disk would not only mean a waste of disk space, but also extra CPU time and I/O since the file would have to be updated every time a new posting is archived. You have two options: 1. Create a 'listname FILELIST' containing entries for whatever you want EXCEPT the archive files. LISTSERV will automatically append "virtual" entries to it for all the LOGxxxx files it generates. 2. Delete the entry for 'listname FILELIST' in LISTSERV FILELIST. A virtual entry for 'listname FILELIST' automatically exists in NOTEBOOK FILELIST. That is, you really don't need to worry about the 'listname FILELIST' at all when you set up a list for archival.
