I am a relativaly new list owner and I have a question. My list recently received a long posting that turned out to be a chain letter (over 500 lines). It is my understanding that the waste of server time and resources that stem from this sort of thing are against net protocols. I am wondering what sort of response I should take to this action. The user did add a small bit of comment based on the lists discussion topic, but he acknologed that it was " to make his post a legitimate post. I feel that using the topic knowing he was *covering* the chain letter by posting legitimate information, he was aware of the fact he had breached net protocols. A bit of guidance as to how I should handle this would be greatly apreciated. Is this to stiff?
