I run CLIMLIST, which has subscription by owner. I have recently been asked to enter a subscription for a person using an IP number address, i.e. of the form userid@[141.65.128.48] I am able to send mail to this potential subscriber from the unix-based system from which I work using this format but I am concerned about what will happen if I ADD a subscriber using such a format. I am not sure why this person wishes to be subscribed in this way but her 'signature' shouts about not using auto-reply and she has indicated that the host she is on is rather unstable. It is in the eastern part of Germany. All help appreciated!
