This (mixed addressing, BITNET and Internet) is not just a domain names problem. Some sites, trying to move load from BITNET to Internet, on reciept of a piece of BITNET traffic reply thru the Internet, with Internet style addressing of course. When you reply to that traffic, your reply travels via Internet, showing a different from address than the original sub request. That is another problem. In those cases, you just need to either MAIL (not REPLY) your confirmation to the BITNET address, or else start all over with an Internet sub request.
