I have received a note from someone at Memphis State Univ telling me that one of his users is receiving stuff from [log in to unmask] even though that user has tried to unsubscribe. The user does not currently seem to be subscribed, his name does not appear in the name field, and he is not a hidden subscriber; I checked. From my records I verified that he indeed used to be subscribed at admin2.memst.edu. Why would he still be getting stuff? I read in this forum a suggestion that someone with a similar problem send mail individually to each subscriber to see if the mystery recipient was getting forwarded mail from a legitimate subscriber, but I am kind of balking at that for three reasons. One; that sounds like a real pain. Two; I don't see any evidence in the headers that the list items are being forwarded. A Received: from header implies that mail items go directly from the listserv site to the user's mailbox on admin2.memst.edu. All headers are included below. And three, I hate to disturb all subscribers with such a test posting. Any ideas out there?
