when one of my list members tries to reply to a message from the list (Family-L), the reply bounces to me as an error message instead of getting posted to the list. It looks to me this is because his mailing software includes a copy of the header of the original message in the reply. is this true, and what can I do about it (except manually forward his bounced message to the list)? thanks Joe Stanford [log in to unmask] or [log in to unmask] list owner: [log in to unmask] or [log in to unmask] copy of bounced message follows Date: Wed, 13 Apr 1994 17:32:35 -0500 From: BITNET list server at MIZZOU1 <[log in to unmask]> (1.7f) Subject: FAMILY-L: error report from ALTAIR.HSC.COLORADO.EDU To: [log in to unmask] Content-transfer-encoding: 7BIT X-LSV-ListID: None The enclosed mail file, found in the FAMILY-L reader and shown under the spoolid 3296 in the console log, has been identified as a possible delivery error notice for the following reason: "Sender:", "From:" or "Reply-To:" field pointing to the list has been found in mail body. ------------------------- Message in error (50 lines) ------------------------- Received: from COLORADO.BITNET by MIZZOU1 (Mailer R2.10 ptf000) with BSMTP id 0653; Wed, 13 Apr 94 17:31:37 CDT Return-receipt-to: Curt Stine <[log in to unmask]> Received: from essex.hsc.colorado.edu by VAXF.COLORADO.EDU (PMDF V4.2-12 #5062) id <[log in to unmask]>; Wed, 13 Apr 1994 16:21:07 MDT Received: by essex.hsc.colorado.edu (5.57/Ultrix3.0-C) id AA13043; Wed, 13 Apr 94 16:22:50 -0600 Received: From ALLIANCE/WORKQUEUE5 by Charon5.HSC.Colorado.edu via Charon-4.0-VROOM with IPX id 100.940413162443.448; 13 Apr 94 16:23:40 -700 Date: Wed, 13 Apr 1994 17:01:20 +0000 From: Curt Stine <[log in to unmask]> Subject: Re: Adolescent Med.
