Our list has Files= No as the default. I've never used the AFD command and am unsure as to how it works. What I'm looking for is the proper syntax for a subscriber to set Files= Yes F=Mail with AFD. The general refcard has this: Commands related to file server functions ----------------------------------------- AFD Automatic File Distribution ADD fn ft <filelist <prolog>> Add file or generic entry to your AFD list DELete fn ft <filelist> Delete file(s) from your AFD list (wildcards are supported) List Displays your AFD list For node administrators: FOR user ADD/DEL/LIST etc Perform requested function on behalf of a user you have control over (wildcards are supported for DEL and LIST) FUI File Update Information: same syntax as AFD, except that FU ADD accepts no 'prolog text' --------------------------------------------------------------------------- So, if I wanted to have automatic file distribution via email, would I send in something like this? set listname files f=mail afd The goal is to automatically send via email all new files to those who want them. Will this automatically send updates of files? We're not interested in specifying fn ft; either one gets all new files automatically or gets none. Does the subscriber have to be set Mail= Yes, or will the files be sent regardless of how the mail option is set? Just what does FUI do? I want to check this out for myself with some test files so I'm sure I know how it works before I try to explain it to our subscribers.
