Hello there. My list is peered at UGA, PSU, and AU. it is linked UGA<--->PSU<--->AU. When a member sends a messages to any of the nodes a message comes back to him, saying that the messages was not processed because it appeared again in the past. The funny part of the story is that the messages was actually delivered. That happens any time you send a messages. I must mention that the messages comes from LISTSERV@PSUVM (1.8a). There is only one exception. When you sent to "AUVM, two messages come. One from PSU, and one from AU. The messages that come from LISTSERV@PSUVM have a strange header line. It tells that the error messages originates from VTBIT.CC.VT.EDU, which was bounced back to AU, and AU back to PSU. This drives me crazy. I have no members from that node. I send/receive no news/mails/files from this node. Can you tell me what is wrong; Do you think that double subscription have to do with it (1.8a version) ? Is it a problem with PSU? I own another list at PSU and I don't have such a problem. I'm includin the type of error messages. Headers only. Any ideas? That is, a message with identical body (but possibly different headers) has been posted to the list recently, either by you or by someone else. If you have a good reason to resend this message to the list (for instance because half of the outbound spool files were lost in a disk crash at some intermediate node), please alter the message text in some way before resending it. Note that altering the "Subject:" line or adding blank lines at the top or bottom of the message is not sufficient; you should instead add a line at the top explaining why you are re-sending the message, for the benefit of the list membership. ------------------------- Rejected message (22 lines) ------------------------- Return-Path: <@VTBIT.CC.VT.EDU:[log in to unmask]> Received: from VTBIT.CC.VT.EDU (NJE origin MAILBIT@VTBIT) by PSUVM.PSU.EDU (LMail V1.2a/1.8a) with BSMTP id 7457; Wed, 6 Jul 1994 16:36:38 -0400 Received: from VTBIT.CC.VT.EDU (NJE origin LISTBIT@VTBIT) by VTBIT.CC.VT.EDU (LMail V1.1d/1.7f) with BSMTP id 3080; Wed, 6 Jul 1994 16:36:37 -0400 Date: Wed, 6 Jul 1994 16:34:19 EDT Reply-To: Spiros Liolis <[log in to unmask]> Sender: The Hellenic Discussion List <[log in to unmask]> Comments: Warning -- original Sender: tag was HELLAS@UGA Comments: To: Multiple recipients of list HELLAS <[log in to unmask]> Comments: Warning -- original Sender: tag was [log in to unmask] From: Spiros Liolis <[log in to unmask]> Organization: Univ. of TN at Chatt., Engr Dept Subject: No subject Comments: To: Multiple recipients of list HELLAS <[log in to unmask]> To: Multiple recipients of list HELLAS <[log in to unmask]> Message was deleted...
