Since LISTSERV has no way of associating the > FQDN with a NJE node name (it's not in BITEARN NODES, so it > doesn't exist), it assumes that the address is ok. Also this solution is not possible as some of the nodes only have PROFS and (tried that) PROFS/OV mails don't work with LISTSERV. > We have a couple of list which we use for coordination purposes. But the members of those Lists are not all on registered EARN/BITNET nodes. The other problem: I maintain a couple of Filelists. The files registered in those Filelists must be retrievable also by non-BITNET nodes. This also doesn't work. It did work during the times we had 'LISTEARN' and now we have many unsatisfied customers and coordination work is much more difficult (via distribution lists which have to be maintained at each non-BITNET node). We would be very happy to get around this problems. best regards Hermann Schneider ____/ ____/ __ / ____/ CS Computer Networks coordinator / / / / / Robert Bosch Strasse 5 /___/ ___ / / / / D 64276 Darmstadt / / / / / ____/ ____/ _____/ ____/ Phone: (49) 6151.90.2464 European Space Operations Centre Fax: .3061
