Listowner folks, Although Trish has tried twice, My head seems to be too hard to absorb this. I am interested in allowing POSTS, not subscriptions, from anonymous remailers. All anonymous remailers are okay with me, including the one at <anon.penet.fi>, as long as they are posting to the list and not trying to subscribe. I even left the door open for non-subscribers to post, intentionally. {Or at least I tried to.} > > I want to *allow* anonymous posts to my list Allergy at > > > > [log in to unmask] I don't have any anonymous subscribers, never did, and don't intend to allow them. But I do allow ANYONE to post, especially anonymous posters. If one of my list members wanted to send an anonymous post, they wouldn't need to be *subscribed* anonymously to be able to read my list and the response to their anonymous post. I have had anonymous posts about very personal matters, and it seems to allow more freedom of thought and speech. Hey, what if *I* want to send an anonymous post to my list? I think the advantages of anonymous privacy are possibly being given short shrift here. I'm sorry I was unclear, but I am still concerned that this filter = Also, and FILTER_ALSO stuff seems to be removing the possibility of anonymous POSTING along with the bathwater of anonymous subscribing. I now assume the FILTER_ALSO at the listserv level (upstream from my puny list) would try to prevent BOTH subscriptions and posting from wherever is being filtered. What still remains for someone to say is: Will the list header keyword Filter =Also,*@xxxxxx.xxx try to prevent BOTH postings and subscriptions, or just one or the other? I'm sure this demonstrates some logical fault or ignorance on my part, but I don't know whether Filter =Also, goes after posts or subscriptions or both, sorry. 8=]' Pax, Dave Dave Kinnaman <[log in to unmask]> 512/463-9321 #this too shall pass#
