Though I know NOTHING about that list or list-owner, assuming
that you have been reasonable in your approach, and he has been
unreasonable, there are a couple avenues that you might take:
contact the LISTSERV site's manager (with a copy to the
list-owner) with a clear explanation of the problem(s).  If that
does not result in resolution, then you (or requesting another
list member) creating a "competitive" list where your standards
of list-ownership and list-participation are better maintained.
Make sure you have a WELCOME file that explains list policies and
expected behavior of participants, otherwise someone else might
complain about how you arbitrarily run the list.
