A problem with the power (global) solutions to bogus subscription
attack is that a malicious person could turn it around and
initiate bogus subscribes with the intent of getting a user
deleted from lists to which he subscribes legitimately.  As
attractive as automated solutions are, they inevitably invite
further attack using cleverer tricks.
 
" DELETE * user@node" may be necessary, but I suggest that
including "QUIET" is not fair to the (bewildered) victim.  Or you
could send a message of explanation to the victim.
