A problem with the power (global) solutions to bogus subscription attack is that a malicious person could turn it around and initiate bogus subscribes with the intent of getting a user deleted from lists to which he subscribes legitimately. As attractive as automated solutions are, they inevitably invite further attack using cleverer tricks. " DELETE * user@node" may be necessary, but I suggest that including "QUIET" is not fair to the (bewildered) victim. Or you could send a message of explanation to the victim. ==>My sincere appreciation to you postmasters of the Net.<== We E-mail users don't say that nearly often enough. Jim Ehrlich, D.V.M.
