Well... - If you pay for LISTSERV by license points the NOMAILs can cost you. - Any command that checks your list will have more overhead - things like signon, signoff, set, scan etc. And don't forget that global commands will be affected too, like LISTSERV maintainers doing Q * FOR [log in to unmask] - certain housekeeping functions will be affected too such as renewal processing, newnode processing, perhaps signup file compression, but that's certainly minor.
