Well, you can still use LISTVIEW (with the proper options) to export the xxx.list file to a text file, which you can then manipulate as you want (minding the column alignment - just like on VM). You can rename xxx.list to xxx.oldlist and then rename the edited list to xxx.list. After restarting LISTSERV (like on VM, you have to stop it when playing with list membership data), it will reimport all the lists for you. It's not quite as simple, but it can be done. Once you have a little REXX program to go through all your lists, export them, call another program to make a change and replace them, all you need to change is the program that makes the change you want, whatever that might be today.
