Has anyone, perchance, seen this before? I'm copying this to our listmanager, but he's gone home for the day. We're using 1.8a. I bounced back a post that had been flagged as coming from a nonsubbed address. The usual routine. It had the usual message: ----------------- This message was originally submitted by [log in to unmask] to the TRNSPLNT list at WUVMD. If you simply forward it back to the list, it will be distributed with the paragraph you are now reading being automatically removed. etc. ----------------- This is all routine. Has worked hundreds of times before. Nothing's been changed with my mail software, least not that I'm aware of. I'm getting back a seemingly endless train of error messages which read: ----------------- The enclosed mail file, found in the TRNSPLNT reader and shown under the spoolid 5242 in the console log, has been identified as a possible delivery error notice for the following reason: "Sender:", "From:" or "Reply-To:" field pointing to the list has been found in mail body. ------------------------- Message in error (73 lines) ------------------------- Return-Path: <@WUVMD.WUSTL.EDU:[log in to unmask]> Received: from WUVMD (NJE origin SMTP@WUVMD) by WUVMD.WUSTL.EDU (LMail V1.1d/1.7 f) with BSMTP id 3861 for <TRNSPLNT@WUVMD>; Wed, 4 Dec 1996 16:30:19 -0600 Received: from metgate.metro.org by WUVMD.Wustl.Edu (IBM VM SMTP V2R1) with TCP; Wed, 04 Dec 96 16:30:05 CST Report-Version: 2 >To: WUVMD.WUSTL.EDU!TRNSPLNT To: WUVMD.WUSTL.EDU!TRNSPLNT Date: Wed Dec 4 23:25:11 GMT 1996 Original-Date: Wed, 4 Dec 1996 15:49:00 -0600 Original-Subject: Re: Cranberries, Grapefruit, Pineapple End-of-Header: Not-Delivered-To: due to 12 Inability To Transfer ORIGINAL MESSAGE ATTACHED (rmail: Error # 2 'Problem with mailfile') En-Route-To: nyrtp1 Content-Length: 3040 Content-Type: text Received: from WUVMD.WUSTL.EDU by metgate.metro.org; Wed, 4 Dec 96 18:25 EST Received: from vms.dc.lsoft.com by vms.dc.lsoft.com (LSMTP for OpenVMS v1.1a) with SMTP id <[log in to unmask]>; Wed, 4 Dec 1996 16:49:32 -0500 Date: Wed, 4 Dec 1996 15:49:00 -0600 Date: Wed, 4 Dec 1996 15:49:00 -0600 Reply-To: "Organ transplant recipients and anyone else intested in the issues." <[log in to unmask]> etc. ------------------------------ I haven't seen this metgate.metro.org before. If I'm reading this right, that seems to be where the problem is. Should I try to contact someone there to get whatever this is purged?
