As mentioned in the manual (and LISTSERV welcome note) they sent:
SET CAP-L CONCEAL

QUERY CAP-L WITH CONCEAL FOR *@*
Will give you the info ...

Anyone can "conceal"  their name if their mailer from: contains a
nickname and they send
SUB listname Guess Who!
Subscribe takes any string ;-)

CONCEAL prevents non-priviledged users from finding their e-mail with
the SCAN command... (Very popular amongst US government employees :-)
