As I recall, there are some also pathalogical cases involving the D.E.M.: subscriber is auto-unsubscribed, but bounces continue to be monitored because the delivery of previously generated list traffic is in-progress. Sometimes the original problem is cleared up, but the in-progress messages are going to continue to bounce. User resubscribes but the auto-unsubscribe counting is still taking place for those old in-progress messages.
