YOu can add to the list that Outlook, among other new software, sets html as the DEFAULT, and newbies have NO idea that they're sending this out and it's coming out as gobbledygook in other people's mailboxes.... As for attachments, you should see what they do to the digest version of any l-soft list ... at least when you get lists individually, you can delete the ugly thing. I use a line limit of 250 and that seems to keep out the worst of the attachments, but not the nuisance V-cards. But it's a constant battle teaching newbies how to reset their mail so it will come out in plain text. I really wish that listserv would ADD those instructions to their standard welcome message.
