Hello. Anyone have any ideas as to how this happened? Someone seems to have quoted part of a distribution that I sent out last night, in a subscribe request that they sent to Listserv. But, their subscribe request *seems* to have been posted from *my* email address??? (Is there some other way that the name associated with my address would be changed?) Ever seen anything like this one? Anyone else ever have this happen? I've changed the name back to my name by sending a subscribe request to Listserv, with my name. (Listserv changed the name without asking for confirmation.) Thanks in advance for ideas. the very puzzled Maureen This is what I rec'd from Listserv: From: MX%"[log in to unmask]" "L-Soft list server at Unive ty at Buffalo (1.8d)" To: MX%"[log in to unmask]" CC: Subj: Re: HWY61-L Announcement Return-Path: <> Received: from defer.acsu.buffalo.edu (128.205.7.58) by gemini.cc.umb.edu (MX V5.1 VnBs) with SMTP for <[log in to unmask]>; Fri, 9 Apr 1999 13:46:50 -0500 Received: (qmail 21086 invoked from network); 9 Apr 1999 17:25:09 -0000 Received: from listserv.acsu.buffalo.edu (128.205.7.35) by defer.acsu.buffalo.edu with SMTP; 9 Apr 1999 17:25:09 -0000 Date: Fri, 9 Apr 1999 13:25:09 -0400 From: "L-Soft list server at University at Buffalo (1.8d)" <[log in to unmask]> Subject: Re: HWY61-L Announcement To: Xxxxx Xxxxxxxxx <[log in to unmask]> > SUBSCRIBE HWY61-L Xxxxx Xxxxxxxxx The name associated with your [log in to unmask] subscription has been changed to "Xxxxx XXXXXXXXX". > To: Unknown command - "TO:".
