I run this node and it doesn't generate that kind of error. The error is coming from another system and for some reason the "From:" line ends up the way it is. But note that the error did not actually go through spider.ease.lsoft.se:

The origin seems to be 195.2.126.185, which is somewhere in Latvia. ERNA1 is not a valid BITNET node.
The order of the fields suggests that "From:" and "Date:" may have been added at cs.umb.edu, perhaps because they were missing. But there is no conclusive proof of this.
