I just had a list owner contact me because people on her list are
concerned about the participation of gmail users on their list. gmail was
completely off my radar, so I'm just now getting up to speed. Since this
is a publicly archived list, I don't see there's much regarding privacy
issues and the list. Anyone run into this/have any comments?
If you're behind like I was, as I understand it, there are two provisions
of gmail that appear to concern folks. One is that they will be
automatically scanning incoming email and inserting targeted ads. A second
is that email is stored potentially forever, even if you delete it from
your personal storage area. More?
