These are the settings I use on Lotus Notes (6.5.4) for an index:
INDEX You receive short indexes of all postings
MIME You prefer to receive messages in MIME format
HTML You prefer to receive messages in HTML format
FULLHDR Full (normal) mail headers
REPRO You receive a copy of your own postings
ACK Short e-mail acknowledgement of successfully processed
postings
NOFILE You do not receive a copy of NJE files sent to the list
We have other users that have their settings to DIGEST/MIME/NOHTML and
that seems to work fine for them.

I seem to recall that setting HTML implies MIME.
