However, if you want to turn off *all* web-interface confirm options,
and not do it just for a single list, you can change the site
configuration settings that indicate the presence of a web interface,
even in 1.8e (actually, I did it on our initial install of 1.8d back in
November 2000, during early times while I learned my way around IIS)
.... I'm away from the office and can't look up the specifics, but it's
not tricky - it is site-wide, though, and I believe the original request
was for something less dramatic than turning off the web interface
itself.

Yes, this template became editable in Ver 14.4 as I recall. Before
that, it
is hard-coded and not editable.
