SET listname NOMAIL FOR userid@node

and have them use the list WEB archives ... isn't that why they call it WEB-tv ?  ;-)

That seems like a really good solution since then they don't have to do all of that messy mailbox housekeeping and they don't have to bug the list-owner either.
