>>Hi,

I have a new listserv list set up so that only subscribers can post.
What header does the listserv try to match to the list -- is it
From: or Sender: or something else? And what can a user do if this
line comes out differently depending upon which machine they login
to? Will they need to subscribe all their addresses with "nomail"?

Thanks in advance!

Listserv is going to look at the from address. If the address
doesn't _exactly_ match the address of the subscriber on the list the
post will be rejected. Even if the person is posting from a single site that
that is both internet and bitnet but which hasn't been aliased, then
they'll need two subscriptions with one set to no-mail.
