Though FILTER= is probably "best," it may also be of value to
(instead) issue the following
QUIET SET * NOMAIL NOPOST FOR userid@node
This isn't as bullet-proof as the FILTER, but it might be more
expedient if you operate several lists at several remote sites.
If the listserv-maintainer issued the command, it would be even
"better."
