Remember that LISTSERV distributions are not linear i.e., they
don't go from the LISTSERV hosting site directly to the
subscriber. It depends upon a "host" ;-) of other sites and
facilities.
In particular SMTP at PSUVM.PSU.EDU is having some form of
difficulty with the LISTSERV PEER host PEACH.EASE.LSOFT.COM.
This difficulty might relate to resolving the IP address between
the clients, stub resolvers, DNS caches, though probably NOT the
authoritative DNSes,. IP connectivity (PING and TRACEROUTE) to
that host does not appear to be the problem.
I had noticed THAT over the weekend and have made cognizant PSUVM
sysadmins (I am not one there) aware of this difficulty and have
participated in some conjecturing/probing.
