I would have volunteered that answer too, except that American has been
having these problems since February, including through the middle of the
summer- traditionally the LIGHTEST load for on campus computer resources,
and the best time to unbreak broken systems.
In addition, American has gone through three sysadmins in the past three
months...
However, the real reason I'm posting: today my gated newsgroup at American
seems to be working like a champ!!! I'm seeing postings from the list and
directly to the newsgroup in under an hour. Is anyone else seeing this? Is
it only temporary? Dare I hope?
