Hmm, in <theory> you can do something very simple:

http://peach.ease.lsoft.com/scripts/wa.exe?S2=lstown-l.last5-&q=*&s=&f=&a=&b=

to show the last 5 postings (in this case from LSTOWN-L).  However the links
end up wrong (because of the .last5- bit tacked onto the end of the list
name), so while the indexing is correct, the links won't work; they end
up like

http://peach.ease.lsoft.com/scripts/wa.exe?A2=ind9911&L=lstown-l.last5-&P=R3687

I honestly don't know if this is a bug or a feature :)  If you remove the
".last5-" from the individual message URL it does work but of course that
doesn't really help you.  It seems to me that this used to work but I could
be wrong.
