Would it not be possible to simply setup virus checking on the machine on
files when they are created and then delete any files found with virus
signatures. Something like NetShield which allows you to scan files as they
are written to the disk, would this not catch the email viruses when they
are stored for forwarding ?
Alternatively I guess you could implement a two stage process, where the
mails are opened by a relay agent, scanned and only forwarded to listserv if
clean.

Subject: Virus Scanning

Greetings,

I was wondering if there was a product or patch or something that would
allow me to have the L-Soft software scan all emails coming through the
listserv for virus attachments?

Any information you can give would be appreciated.

Thanks
