This is my second day of being on this list and the end of the first
month of serving as the list owner of DOUBLEREED-L. At times I feel
totally lost, confused, and frustrated. I've secured LISTOWNR REFCARD,
LISTSERV MEMO, some of the recent archives of LSTOWN, etc., but can't
find the answer to my problem.
 
I am able to make changes in my subscribers, the welcome file, etc. by
using EDIT and PUT commands in Email to my listserv, but I can't figure
out how I can use the commands with the syntax TELL LISTSERV etc....
This seems like a much simpler way to manage a list then having to go
back to the files each time and edit the whole file. Can someone tell me
how to get the system to function with the TELL commands?
 
I've also tried to access the header file to see if I could make changes
there, but haven't been successful there either. All comments would be
greatly appreciated - I'm really a virgin at this!
