A hop is a machine that relays a message to another machine. I believe a hop count is associated with an internet message and once it reaches something like 16 then it gets discarded as being a stray packet.

I don't know what "hops" are, but we have been getting rejections on our Daily Error Monitoring Report for messages coming from one of the two servers that distribute our mailing list messages. Ben Parker tells me that the LSoft people are getting in touch with Comcast to have the blacklisting lifted.

The server in question is: louvi.ease.lsoft.com ([209.119.0.189])

The same server distributes some of our digest messages.
