Some sites still run  mailers that can't handle long lines,  and you as a
user cannot  do anything about it,  other than complain to  the people in
charge.
 
This being  said, you probably  don't want to get  the whole list  if you
only  want to  change  the  list options.  GET  xxxxx  (HEADER should  be
sufficient, and would not generate lines longer than 80.
